Finally deciding she'd had enough cucumbers, Kristin sighed and put
the rest back in the fridge. The things Amber had revealed about
Jane's strange behaviour hadn't quite sunk in yet, but she was trying
to make some sense of it.
Closing the fridge door, she heard a commotion at the front door and
went to investigate. She briefly caught a glimpse of someone at the
top of the stairs, and seeing Alex and Philip, she assumed it had been
Nick.
"What-" she cut herself off as she got a good look at Philip. She
paled at the scrapes and scratches on his face and concern flooded her
eyes.
