Amber smiled to herself, and hugged her legs. She
thought she had noticed something in Kristin when
Philip was around, and Amber couldn't blame her. As
the sun came up and warmed her face, Amber closed her
eyes and thought that maybe, just maybe, this place
and these people would help her outrun the little girl
she saw in her nightmares.
