Derek took the negative
sullenly, pulling it out of the envelope and holding it up to the light to
inspect it. It was indeed the picture he had taken from the man the
night before. He wasn't sure he trusted that this was the only
negative or the only picture. After all he'd never known a photographer
that didn't take several shots of each thing he was photographing. He
glanced over at Julia and the other envelope thoughtfully.
"That
shouldn't be a problem," he stated. "If you don't mind, we are in a bit
of a hurry. What is it you needed my wife for?"
Julia looked
through the proofs and smiled at each of them, taking the time to trace the
edges of certain ones, especially the ones during the vows. She peeked over
at Derek and lowered her hand under the table to gently squeeze his
thigh. She knew he had the protective vibe thing going but if he raised
it even a half a notch higher he'd have the photographer probably wondering
when he was going to get knocked in the kisser.
