Jonathan re-entered the kitchen before the two could
leave.
"Oh, the young lady's belongings were just
delivered. I put them in your room for you to go
through as you'd like. Just let me know if you want
anything stored."
"Thank you," Amber said. She felt a little badly
that Jonathan had had to take care of her things
alone. She then turned to Kristin and said, "I can
handle unpacking, if you have other stuff you want to do."
"Thank you, Jonathon." Kristin actually wondered when the man had
time to sleep; he always had everything anyone in the House needed.
"Well, if you need me, or just want some help hanging pictures, I'll
be here." she said to Amber with a smile. Kristin always had things
she could be doing, but she was worried about what was going on with
the trial, so decided that whatever work she managed to get to wouldn't
be up to par. But looking at Amber, she couldn't figure out if Amber
just wanted to be alone, or if she thought Kristin would be too busy to
help. Either way, she'd given Amber the option of finding her later on.
