Philip could only swallow. And then seeing Kristin's unease put an
arm
around her, saying quietly "It's alright."
He couldn't help but glance at Megan and saw the burning look in her
eyes.
May God have mercy on her soul, he thought, turning Kristin away from
having
to look at the scene. He looked at Amber and motioned for her to
join them.
Flashing Amber a faint smile so she wouldn't worry, Kristin
gratefully leaned against Philip with a small sigh. As angry as she
was with Megan for what she had attempted to do, she felt a small surge
of pity for her. Obviously the woman was unbalanced.
