Derek pulled the SUV out of the parking lot and headed for the small water front diner. It was a relatively short drive and by the time they arrived the dinner crowds had dispersed for the most part. Derek glanced behind to see if Rachel was following them. He'd forgotten to mention to her that they were going out for dinner before going home and he wondered vaguely how she would react to that.
Derek parked the car and went around to Julia's side opening the doors for the ladies and taking Julia's hand as they walked to the diner.
