Derek pulled onto the ferry and parked the car. He cast a glance over at Amber just in time to see the slight cringe on her face. He reached out and touched her shoulder gently. In a soft voice he said, "I want Rachel to have a look at that when we get home." Kristin was relieved to know that Derek and everyone would be keeping an eye on Amber while Philip, Nick and her were in Boston. She was worried about the girl, and though she'd half-expected Amber to want to come with them, she was glad nothing like that had been said. After what had happened with Jane, the last thing Amber needed was to go back there so soon.
