Julia winked at Derek before taking her friend by the arm and led him to the kitchen.

She pointed to one of the stools at the cooking island and went to the other side to start unloading the bag onto different plates.

"Here," she gave him the bag with the condements and paper napkins "pass these out per plate and then tell me how long you plan on ignoring how you're starting to feel about Kristin."

"Sure-" Philip started, only to cough and look at Julia.  No one knew how to throw a person for a loop better than she, except of course Derek.  Color flooded his cheeks and he had to try twice before an actual word came out of his mouth "I, uh "

Julia grinned and cut a piece of her chili dog before eating it and then telling him "Don't try the 'I donnae know what yer talkin' about, Julia.  I'm a priest for goodness sakes.' "

"Wouldn't dream of it." Philip replied dryly "But I am a priest."

"And?" she countered "Not going to work with me, Pip."

She took another bite, finished it and then mock whispered "I just happened to have come from heaven recently and I can blow holes all through your man-made rules."

"They arenae man made!" Philip whispered, scandalized.

"Wanna bet?"  Julia lifted an eyebrow "For some reason you priests think it's a deadly sin to be attracted to and have a married life with a woman.  Even the bible says differently."

Philip looked at her doubtfully.

"It's good to abstain, but if you can't, marry." she told him the part she was refering to.

"Tha' was to the men-"

"Pffffft, I hate to break this to you, Pip." Julia chuckled "But you are a man.  A holy man was preaching this to any and everyone that would listen to the Truth."

She took another bite and chewed it thoughtfully, then looked at Pip, blue gaze considering before swallowing and asking "If you think that way, I guess you think what I feel and live with Derek is going to send me to hell...."

"What??" Philip barely kept himself from yelping, much less dropping the items in his hands as he set them beside the last plate "Not bloody likely!"

Julia shrugged and, chili dog finished, she threw the paper plate and utensils in the nearby waste basket "Well, I was, for all technical purposes, a guardian angel, and I gave my life to save and live with the man I love and was allowed to come back to do just that.  Last I checked that's along the same lines of being something holy.  If I'm not damned for loving Derek, don't go thinking you're going to be damned for loving someone."

She kissed his cheek and left him alone with his thoughts, taking Amber's and Derek's plates with her.  She would drop Derek's off since she was sure he would still be talking to Rachel and then would drop Amber's off with her.  And depending on doctor's orders she'd either ask to hear a song tonight or wait until tomorrow before heading to the third floor.

Julia grinned a little.  Maybe she'd show Derek that preset she got.....

Philip looked at his food and took a bite of the BLT he had ended up ordering too.  He had a lot to think about thanks to his friend.  And a lot to work out too.
