Derek smiled and nodded at his wife, catching her arm before she took off to
follow the others. "I do have some tact," he told her in amusemen,
regarding her fear of hem popping upstairs to talk to Rachel. He watched
her leave and waited for Rachel to enter.

"Rachel," he said motioning for her to follow him into the parlor. Once
inside he closed the doors and took a seat in his favorite chair. "I have
two things to discuss with you. Amber has some injuries that should
probably be checked out, just to be on the safe side. She's upstairs
waiting for you in her room." He paused for a moment, not quite sure how to
broach the subject. "I'm afraid I got started off on the wrong foot with
her and I need some advice on how to rectify the situation. She seems to be
rather....fragile."
