Julia finished the phone call with a promise to call back as soon as she
cleared it with Derek and, after she hung up and raised the microphone back
up, she sat on the couch and laid her head against the arm, stretching out
to look at the ceiling for a thoughtful moment.
She was going to go see Derek's ex-girlfriend and listen to her .. well her
confession of sorts. And darned if she knew how she felt about it.
Without realizing it, her eyes drifted closed and she was soon taking a nap.
After seeing the other's off, including hurrying over to Amber before she
pulled out and giving her his cell phone number, with instructions to call
if she became lost, Derek headed to his office to call Sloan.
He paused just inside the door seeing Julia asleep on the couch. He slipped
over to her quietly and removed the headset, laying it down on the table
near her and then he took a seat at his desk and picked up the phone dialing
Sloan and trying to be as quiet as he could.
