"You better not," he told her. "If you do, I'm coming after you, no matter where it is you go."
Julia held him close "Yup, Mister Rayne, I love you and you're stuck with me." And nothing Megan Torrence or anyone or thing else was going to change that. Derek held her closely until she fell asleep and it wasn't long after that that he fell asleep. The day had been completely exhausting and though it was still early, Derek did not awake until late in the evening. Julia was still snoozing beside him. He felt rather groggy, but could no longer stay in bed. He did need to check on his team and...he needed to eat, immediately. In fact he couldn't remember ever being so hungry. The oddest part though was what it was he wanted to eat. Derek slipped out of bed and headed downstairs, he would get a snack and check on things, then perhaps Julia would be awake and they oculd have dinner. Reaching hte kitchen, he began to search around the refrigerator until he found what he was looking for. Then, he scoured the cabinets as well and sat down. He glanced over the evening paper as he ate green olives out of the jar and some of Nick's cheese puffs. A combination he would normally avoid.
