Julia blinked, only to groan under her breath and feel her cheeks and ears heat up.
"They aren't old friends." she admitted, smile in place when they waved their way and Julia returning it before turning to him "And you were already doing that before I even stepped into the picture. We knew each other in school." Julia started to set her fork down. She hadn't intended to have an audience and most of the time Derek wasn't up for having one either. She mimicked their earlier rating schedule and figured she screwed up on a 7 level. "How do you figure that," Derek asked laughing suddenly. "I just met them this evening."
