"Probably because I didn't offer it." Nick pointed out dryly "We were in the middle of a wedding dinner when you barged in. But it's Nick. Nick Boyle."
Bryce could have pointed out that the only reason he had to barge into the wedding dinner was because Julia and Derek forgot to keep their apointment with him after the reception photos were taken, but he decided it was best not to possibly start a fight. "I'm sorry I had to do that," Bryce said instead.
Meanwhile, out of Bryce's view the Soulchaser was watching the conversation with some interest, and wondered if Boyle would try to shoot the photographer. As much as he hated to admit it, though, the Guardian of Damned souls and Nick had a lot in common though. They both had strong wills, hot tempers, and were quite protective of their friends. Both of them also could stand to work on their people skills.
