<jp between Nick and Sloan> Nick made it to Sloan's side, not in the least bit sorry the man had gotten punched, and looked at Derek "Good hit."
Then, following Julia's instructions, Nick helped the London Precept up and raised an eyebrow. He heard 'Alcufar' and remembered Sloan's reference to it a few years ago. So Julia knew about whatever it was, hmm? Interesting. "Come on." he said, turning the Precept toward the House "You're going to have a shiner, to say the least." William rubbed his jaw. Or rather tried to before stopping. It hurt just to touch it. He looked at Derek, without saying a word, and turned to go with Nick. Then again, his look probably said it all for him. See? it had asked Derek, pointing out the fact the man's reaction to even a hint of danger involving his family or that they were in jeopardy in a round about way because of him and Derek was ready to rip into the nearest person. The two men got into the house and headed toward the kitchen, with Nick moving to the fridge and taking out some ice to put into a towel. "That was pretty stupid." he said, only to turn and toss the ice pack at Sloan "And what is it with Alcufar. Why does Julia know about it?" Sloan caught the pack and put it gengerly to his already swollen jaw as he answered. "Because she was there." "And?" "And it ended up with Derek pretty much doing the same thing then as he did now." A pause and then he looked at Nick "Those things killed Julia. They shouldn't be all together with the chance of it doing it again or killing someone else. There is a reason why they were hidden in different places you know." "No reason to accuse Derek of putting her in danger on purpose." Nick countered, leaning against a counter "Hell, he'd die himself before letting anyone hurt her or their baby and you know that." "Then why not get rid of the seplicurs now?" Nick frowned and started to straighten "Are you saying Derek would-?" Sloan raised his other hand "No, of course not, but my point was that he needs to hurry up and get rid of them. Nothing more." Nick sneered humorously and repeated his earlier statement, meaning Sloan's way of going about making that point "Stupid move." __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
