Nick almost choked on his laughter and barely managed to keep from barking with it. It was obvious by Pip's expression the guy thought he might have a daughter, and leave it to Nick to see the funny side of the loss of memory, but he decided to let his friend off the hook and explain further, since Rachel obviously missed the look and its meaning. He gave Kat a half curious half wry look too while he rubbed his arm where she had bumped into in her bid to get to Philip "Kat's our resident kiddo and obviously really glad to see our resident Irishman Priest. You musta bribed her to get all hoppy with ya." He had said it that way to let Philip know, without coming right out and mentioning parentage, that he wasn't anything but a good friend.
