Also wanted to point out couple of things in your demo: - You should remove the "noscript" attribute from other-element. You're using the Polymer() constructor and don't need it.
- For adding/removing dynamic classes, we recommend using the tokenList<http://www.polymer-project.org/docs/polymer/filters.html#tokenlist>filter.
