Hi PBK, On Chrome 33, Android 4.4.2, over wi-fi, loading + executing platform.js from polymer-project.org takes ~400-600ms for me: http://jsbin.com/tuwufelo/1/quiet
Obviously network plays a factor in load time, but can you explain more how you're getting 6-7s? FWIW, we're always looking at how to make platform/polymer faster, but as Michael mentioned, the end goal is to target browsers with the native APIs. platform.js goes away over so there's less incentive than making the native fast paths, faster.
