If you do not use the latest Web Animations polyfill you can stop reading.

The default unit for time values in the Web Animations API has changed from
seconds to milliseconds.

The change was merged

If you wish to delay migration, do not advance beyond this

Where you previously used:
element.animate(keyframes, {duration: 1});

You must now use:
element.animate(keyframes, {duration: 1000});

The same applies to all time related properties: duration, delay, endDelay,
currentTime, etc.
