you'll need to make sure you import the iconset itself, if you open
core-icons you'll see an iconset dir (in a future version all iconsets will
just reside in the core-icons folder, fyi). Find the iconset you want and
include an import for it. Then on your core-icon you'll need to prefix it
with the iconset.

ex:

<core-icon icon="av:play-button"></core-icon>
