The animation duration seems much shorter, and (possibly as a result of the 
former) the "ink swoosh to the left" effect looks as if it is more rigid - 
like the timing function is more linear than ease-in-out.

I'm pretty sure I'm not imagining things, since the difference to me is 
quite severe
