Yeah, you can get this error when any of the required programs is missing. I've seen it before when I failed to install vulcanize globally. Try running each of the commands to make sure they're in your path:
jekyll compass sass dev_appserver.py If one of these fails, you have your culprit. On Mac, when app engine updates, you need to re-run the app engine launcher to recreate the symbolic links. So if you can't find dev_appserver.py, that's could be your problem. (Not sure what the fix is on other platforms; if you see this problem and you're on Windows or Linux, please let me know.)
