Hey Robert,

PM of Polymer at Google here. Thanks for your message, and really great to
hear that you're getting value from Polymer. Always love to get your
feedback!

We're excited that just this week, Google launched https://fi.google.com/
using Polymer. The 2015 Google IO website
<https://events.google.com/io2015/> uses Polymer, as did last winter's Santa
Tracker <https://santatracker.google.com/#village> - here's a pretty good
list of who's using Polymer
<https://github.com/Polymer/polymer/wiki/Who%27s-using-Polymer%3F>. From
our internal numbers, there are over 160 projects inside Google that are
being implemented using Polymer - including some major products which we'll
see released soon.

The common thread throughout these projects is that not only were they
launched recently, but they were also started very recently. Major products
at Google have a very long development cycle and have locked-in their
technology stack years ago - Inbox implementation for example began before
material design was even conceived, and before Polymer existed. As more and
more projects within Google have their tech stack contract come up for
renewal, we’re seeing them adopt Polymer for their new implementation.

As Eric mentioned, the recent 0.8 release
<https://www.polymer-project.org/0.8/> marks a major transition toward
“production-readiness.” We’ll see this reflected with projects at Google
taking Polymer to production, and are seeing it with external projects as
well.

I hope that is helpful, and again, great to hear you’ve been enjoying using
Polymer and we’re excited about what’s to come!

Taylor
