Here's an example of how to use the Shadow DOM polyfill:

1. load `webcomponents.js` instead of `webcomponents-lite.js`
2. tell polymer to use Shadow DOM: `Polymer = {dom: 'shadow'}`

It would be helpful get some feedback on the issues you're having with
