I've looked, and I don't see any recent discussions regarding using Closure-compiler with Polymer. I've also looked through the unit tests for the PolymerPass in the compiler - which does provide a few more clues.
I've seen the https://github.com/PolymerLabs/PolymerRenamer project, which looks exactly the right track and should in theory provide template property renaming to match the script renaming. Basically I'd like to see documentation on manually creating classes with full type safety, renaming and obfuscation. Full disclosure - I'm a long time committer to the closure-compiler project so am extremely familiar with the challenges associated with ADVANCED_OPTIMIZATIONS on a project. Basically before I dive into working with wiring together some of the tools, I wanted to get a recap of the compatibility as it exists now.
