Lucas Dixon has been working on a plugin for jEdit that uses this
protocol. It's currently work-in-progress but it can be found in the
Poly/ML SVN repository on SourceForge. I have a Windows editor/IDE that
I wrote, partly as a test for the IDE protocol while it was being
developed. It's far too buggy and incomplete to release but it's great
to get the locations of errors as highlights in the source rather than
have to match up line numbers.
