Right now just via HTTP and parsing HTML. http://www.pool.ntp.org/scores/207.171.7.151 vs http://www.pool.ntp.org/scores/190.120.228.181 -- the csv logs for each server would be easier to parse programatically. I could add a way to get the status information via JSON. The DNS idea you had could be implemented, too, but it'll have to come after IPv6 support and a few other features on the todo list.
