I have fetched and installed
http://www.math.uni.wroc.pl/~hebisch/poplog/poplog_base6.tar.bz2
on my linux machine running fedora 29, with no problems.
I've also installed it on the machine on campus running SL6 (with older
version of ncurses), and it all seems to work there, though graphical
interactions at a distance can be slow.
I've also copied it to the bham poplog web site, and updated the news file
file:
http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/research/projects/poplog/amd64/poplog16/NEWS-poplog16.txt
