Hi Steve,

Can anyone on the list recall the original "bill of rights" for Pop-11
and its predecessors - that functions are first class citizens and that all
data items can be compared for equality etc? I am looking for the original
text and struggling.

This Wikipedia page

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-class_function

states:

The term was coined by Christopher Strachey in the context of "functions as
    first-class citizens" in the mid-1960s.[4]

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-class_function#cite_note-strachey-4

I guess there should be an entry for Pop-11 (+ Pop2? +Pop10?) in the table
on that page.
