I confirm that there's no sign of the bug if I run poplog on Fedora 31.
I get the (AUTO SAVE done) message on the status bar, and no sign of any
error, unlike F32.

For now I can live with the bug, because apart from printing out the access
violation message and switching from Ved back to pop11, the bug does no
serious harm: I can type ved to the colon prompt and return to editing.
After that, autosave works as normal with no error messages.

I must remember that if I try giving a demo I must set vedautowrite false.
With luck, the bug will also affect other (non-poplog) users and will be
fixed in due course ...
