I installed the fix specified in the diff file, then did this on my system with

kernel 5.6.6-300.fc32.x86_64

in the directory poplog_base

# ./build_pop0 > rapp1 2>&1

then

# ./build_pop2 > rapp2 2>&1

That has produced a new basepop11, and rebuilt all the saved images.

basepop11 runs ok, still with the old kernel:

    $ basepop11
Sussex Poplog (Version 16.0001 Fri May 7 18:29:34 BST 2021)
Copyright (c) 1982-1999 University of Sussex. All rights reserved.

And there are new saved images:

[axs@chill poplog_base]$ ls -ltr pop/lib/psv/
total 5916
-rw-rw-r-- 1 1206672 May 7 18:29 startup.psv
-rw-rw-r-- 1 776632 May 7 18:29 prolog.psv
-rw-rw-r-- 1 2607544 May 7 18:29 clisp.psv
-rw-rw-r-- 1 1145272 May 7 18:29 pml.psv
-rw-rw-r-- 1 313784 May 7 18:29 xved.psv

Everything now seems to work on the old kernel.

Later tonight I'll reboot into the new kernel (after saving all my work in
multiple windows...) and then try running the new system. I'll report
back then.

Aaron
