After a recent update to 'mailman' was installed by our departmental computer officers, some teething problems had to be fixed.
The following problem seems to be harder to fix: If anyone posts to pop-forum at present, the message is delivered to list-members, but the sender receives a message from the mailman system saying: This message was automatically generated by the School of Computer Science, the University of Birmingham auto-reply service. You should receive this message at most once every 14 days. I have reported this to our system manager. I don't yet know whether this can be fixed by tweaking a local parameter or whether the mailman developers have screwed up. There should be no such idiotic default for users of an email forum. Aaron
