Note the line in your error message: "You must be pop-authenticated
before you can use this smtp server, and you must use your yahoo mail
address for the Sender/From field"
Yahoo requires you to POP first, which means that you first login to
download your mail and then you can send mail through it's SMTP servers.
Your Outlook automatically shows your e-mail address in the From field,
so you should not need to do anything with that respect.
Many of the free remote pop servers offering smtp are implementing the
"Pop first" requirement as a hedge against spammers using their smtp
servers without accountability.
MyRealBox.com is another service that requires a "Pop first."
Telebot.com requires password authentication for it's SMTP server. You
actually login with an account number to your SMTP server just as you
do now for all your POP servers.
Just as an aside, Yahoo SMTP has been a little quirky of late. By that
I mean it's been very slow to sending out the message. At least that's
been my experience here lately.
