As Alan said, it's something of a hobby. Not only does it help with managing
all the email I receive it's fun to try to invent clever names to go along
with the account. Silly? Yes. But it keeps me off the streets. : )
At last count I had over 30 various accounts, of which I only actively use
around half. The others I just keep around.
I also have a few Juno accounts, while Juno isn't POP3, they are good
accounts to use when you wish to remain more anonymous than a POP3 account
allows. You can't read the headers in an email from Juno and specify what
area of the country I am in.
Basically, everything Alan said goes for me, too.
