Bloody good! I just discovered we can get mailandnews accounts with a
global flavorings. <g>
I just signed up for a mailandnews.co.uk account.

This is pretty much the standard mailandnews, but with a UK ULD.
I had a bit of a sticky wicket getting this configured. Server names
are simply: mailandnews.uk.co
However, when you enter your username in your mail client, you must
enter the full email address. Example: if my username is johndoe, then
in the username field of my mail client I would enter:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
All of that. You cannot just enter johndoe by itself as your username.
My Pegasus fussed at me for having the "@" symbol in the username, but
it allowed me to do that, all the same. Your mail client will have to
allow you to do this.
I note several other links via country flag icons to other sites and
assume you can sign up for country flavored mailandnews accounts at
other global mailandnews sites. I believe most of these sites are
agents of Infinite Interchange's software and they have been created to
sell the products just as the original mailandnews site was created.
So if you want more mailandnews accounts, but desire something a little
different, then here is an alternative for you.
BTW...I set this british mailandnews account up without any smtp
authentication and so far that works fine.
