Hi all,
I thought I had hit the jackpot of a new POP/SMTP account at
"laposte.net". Since the sign-up was in French this time, the only
foreign language that I have any facility with, I was able to complete
the not terribly complicated form without difficulty.
After successfully signing up, I was greeted with the pop3 and smtp
server addresses, over which I greedily rubbed my hands. Sadly, my
attempt to send provoked the all too familiar response of "relaying
denied".
Leaving the den for a moment, I returned to find the dog drinking my
coffee. It has not been a fun morning. However, the pop address, at
least, is rather nice, using the format of
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" or in my case "[EMAIL PROTECTED]".
Perhaps someone on the list can get it to send using authentication.Right
now I'm too fed up to try.
