Hi all,

First, Happy Thanksgiving Greetings to all the American listers (that may
be about 99% of us :>). May you all enjoy a holiday filled with the warmth
of family and friends.

In a spirit of gentle enquiry with respect to our collective list of
POPPERS, may I ask if anyone can top this one:

I have just received an e-mail sent to my Yahoo account, that I had sent
from Lycos.co.uk on . . . wait for it . . . Nov. 9.

Since there may be skeptics among you, I offer the following :>)

While I realize that the above could have been altered by a bit of
judicious editing, what would be the point? I was so flummoxed by the
arrival of this e-mail, that I was seized by a compunction "to share" with
the only group of people who could be reasonably expected to get a "bad
laugh" from this.

I have been getting better service from Yahoo in the past 24 hours, perhaps
they were doing a general clean-up? maintenance without warning? removing
fruitflies from the servers?
