I was doing a bit of sorting through my POP3 folder when I encountered this
posting. You said to keep an eye on "telebot", so I thought I'd give it a
whirl. At the above 'm-gens.com' site, I initially ran into the same
problem as you did, Alan. However, the info requests not more than 8
**digits** so when I changed the proposed password from letters to
**numerals**, it went through without a problem.
However, the countries available for selection did not include Canada, so I
conferred on myself temporary US status ;>) but was somewhat stymied by the
necessity for a "mobile phone number". Considering this to be a mere sop to
their database, I input a New York area code and a random phone number [so
if any of you receive a call from Hong Kong to confirm this service I
apologize ;>) - I did try to cancel this mess later] It seems that the
service on this particular site is actually for cell phone e-mail, not
quite what I thought I was signing up for. :>0
