OK, here's some news on the archives! As of January 25th, there is a new archive page, which you can access via the website. This is a free service offered by kind people and for people (i.e. no money-making involved). This does mean, however, that everything is a bit sluggish, my 'test' post from yesterday only now just showing up. Besides this, though, it's a great service, and it will dramatically simplify searching for old threads and authors. As to the old posts (yes, Curtis!), the way this archive service works is that the service itself is subscribed to the list. This means that every post you get, the computer will get and then - gradually - archive automatically. The only way I can think of archiving all of the old stuff is to send it all again, which I'm sure would not enthuse all too many people! If you know a better way, I'd be more than glad to hear it. As an alternative, feel free to send me any old posts - digests preferred - and I can put these up on the website as it used to be, i.e. manually and non-searchable. That way, everything pre-January 25th would be there, and post-January 25th would be with the new service. Just a suggestion. Let me know if you have a better one. Well, Ryan, I'm all for that, even though it is quite silly! Hehe... for a sneak peek at what it would look like, just take a flip through the liner notes of Beck's Midnite Vultures album. There you'll be able to catch a snapshot of popducky in the studio with none other than the man himself. Yes, he gets around! Just a reminder... When you hit the 'reply' button to a pj mail now, it goes back to the sender, not the list. Either you have to hit 'reply to all', but better than that is to 'cut' and 'paste as quotation' the relevant passages and put them in a new mail to the list. This not only removes the long footer, but also - Miss Print tells me this - stops eventual mixups of the list somehow becoming subscribed to itself, which would cause chaos and utter meltdown. We don't want that happening! So, a bit more difficult, but it makes for much better reading (see above, where I quoted Ryan in this way). OK, enough talking about the list on the list! I ive to break my own rules...
