yes it is. if you base your choice of music based on a label/popularity (or
lack thereof) it does make you an elitist. i stand by my opinion. i like the
spice girls. if my friends ridicule me for it, that's their loss. everyone
keeps mentioning things like managers, not writing their own material,...
but when will people explain to me why they don't like the *music*.

so why would that make their music less important?
if you use that rule, there's no way you can enjoy classical music. no more
beethoven, bach nor mozart for that matter.

huh? you certainly don't like doowop either do you?

okay dusty springfield didn't play instruments either. so i should chuck her
records out the door as well? she didn't write her own songs either...
what about the brill building roster? those spector produced bands as well.

okay i gotta dislike any product that has a team working on it. hey i also
gotta dislike coke because gosh there's a team of people trying to make a
product. i understand very well that there's a team behind spice girls. why
should that make me stop listening to the spice girls? no it doesn't.

true. sometimes underground music should stay underground.

same goes for indie labels. they make just as much crap as the socalled big
ones.
