hello list....

i feel like things have changed recently with popjourno recently. i dunno.
is it less cohesive?

anyway, i just felt the need to say SOMEthing. i've been pulling series of
all-nighters and semi-all-nighters due to school recently, and sorely want to
talk about silly things that really do matter in the end.

like good places to go and study. tonight i went to a place that is
indigenous (sp?) to south-central texas called jims. it's like ihop or
dennys but with dark orange and red lighting and gold miniblinds. my friend
maria and i were sitting there discussing michelangelo, as usual, when a
creepy old guy came up to us and started philosophizing. he told us that the
only things that motivate anyone are money and sex. i guess that could fuel
an entire conversation as well. (he also told us, "i'll tell you one thing.
never get fat." i was eating pecan pie and ice cream.)

but what i really want to talk about is places to go. where do you go to
study? (san antonio is sadly lacking of any good coffee places. that's where
i go in austin. in san antonio, though, it's all night pancakes or nothing).
what is local to you? do any of you even stay up to study?
all of a sudden, i'm very fascinated with the places people go and why they
go there.

so, now i go to dream of the sistine chapel. oh, and by the way i believe
there is much more fuel in this world than money or sex.

g'night.
Danica :)

p.s. i found a band called mazarin. they're lovely. have any of you
listened to them before?
