Yeah right, and Pollard doesn't like to rock out with a beer in one hand and
his mike in the other exclaiming he's a hot fffreak. winka winka. Nah, I am
kidding of course. Interviewing and maintaining websites are extremely
time-consuming.

I am currently overdosing on japanese contact (is that how you put it?). But
when I can have the time, I am playing loads of music and reading loads of
books. Rrrreally getting into the Cotton Mather CD "Kontiki". Very strange
that I didn't like it at first. Thank god I tried it again. Popmusic has
never been my first love but this records really is great in its genre (pop
that is). I am also looking forward to the new Sparklehorse CD which has
Tom Waits on it as well (I mean contribution, not the man himself. hahaah).
Reading a lot of books about film. At the moment trying to battling Gilles
Deleuze's Image I. Can anyone say if Thousand Plateaus (or in French "Mille
Plateaux") is any good? Anyway saw most of Jubilee last night. A film by
Derek Jarman with some punk-musicians in it. I think I noticed a very young
Adam Ant in there.
To get back on the pop not being my first love. I don't know why. This isn't
a putdown or anything. It's just not my favourite genre. Maybe I was exposed
to Northern Soul too much (nah, can't be that). Or... Well I like punk much
more somehow.

Seems Smog won't be touring in America? Or so people assume. Which would be
kinda sad, since he's awesome in concert (at least when I saw him in a
packed club).

Has anyone heard this uh... Kid 606? He seems to be really good. Anyway off
to avoid the Japanese. Which is hard when you're playing Heavy Blinkers and
suddenly there's a voice counting in Japanese.... "ichi ni san..."

Will anyone be attending David Toop's Sonic Boom? I am hoping to end up in
London to attend the show. It sounds great! I interviewed him for
Kindamuzik, he said he was a bit busy at the moment with the opening.

So anyway rambled enough. BUt that was what Alex begged for. wink wink

Nathalie

ps oh yes! It seems there's a new Walkabouts CD out with only covers. And lo
and behold they cover one of my favourite bands, namely dEUS!
