Okay here's another for you 150 mainly lurkers.
Saw Mod Squad yesterday. The soundtrack/music was very effective in the way
it diverted the attention away from the crappy plot. Hahaha, just kidding
(sort of). I recently saw the soundtrack for High Fidelity and was quite
amazed. Seems pretty good. Though from what I remember about the book, the
musicians mentioned in the book were mainly *older* acts (like Fairport
Convention and uh... Elvis Costello). Anyway just wondering if the film is
good/mediocre/a stinky poopfest.
Maybe this is weird, but I always enjoyed the noise/music being used in the
Eraserhead movie. I found it to be extremely effective (giving the viewer a
nauseous/uneasy feeling). Other great soundtracks that come to mind are the
one for Psycho, Full Metal Jacket,... I also quite enjoyed the Kids
soundtrack since that introduced me to Slint and the like.
Anyway as Zea (who's now playing on my stereo) is singing: shut up. Yes
indeed.
