hey and hi,
first of ll, a big thankyou to all who gave me leads in looking for
work.
i have taken a job in london town and will be moving there in the next
few weeks.
so another question, does anyone have any leads on rooms for rent that
will be available in the next couple of weeks??
does anyone know of any bands that are playing there that are worth my
bad self getting there in time to see??
i'm excited to be joining the european fraternity on this list..
and on another completely different track, i have been listening to the
violent femmes album " the blind leading the naked" an awful lot over
the last week (having rediscovered it after being lost in the wreckage
of my youth) and it has reminded me of a revelation i had only a few
years ago where a friend convinced me that the violent femmes were a
christian pop band. i had always listened to them as singing about the
lord and stuff as being sort of ironic or just an easily relatable
subject matter.
does anyone know anything more about this? of course it doesn't change
the music but i just don't know where they were/are coming from and i am
interested.
