some interesting points. even though a lot of arguments are being diverted
from the issue of piracy to sticking it to the man, there is a point to be
made about where the money will go if napster has to pay up. the record
labels are arguing that this is an issue about artists not getting
royalties, but look at what happened when mp3.com paid off the major labels,
the money wasn't divided up for the artists.
it doesn't justify "stealing" or anything like that. it just raises issues
of who actually owns the intellectual property in the first place, and do
they actually deserve to own it.
