Hi people, good to see a mini revival. Recently I have seen Hefner (Great band but they were not very good live) Whistler (nice and melodic). Kathryn Williams was excellent and quite funny. I also saw the circuit tour with D.O.T, rio 6, corleone and Monkey steals the drum. The rio 6 were pretty good, bit like Cast. Corleone were proper dull and a bit rubbish really. D.O.T were brilliant, thats what you expect from twisted nerve though, the drummer was ace. MonkeyStealstheDrum however are a futher sign that Alan Mcgee (really cant work out how to spell it,sorry.) has lost it. Apparently he has said they are the next big thing, never a good thing for any band to have hanging over them. They were crap, maybe just not my type of music but chugging out two (three if we were lucky)power chords and shouting poor lyrics that you cant hear over the top never has excited me. I left early, the first gig i have ever left early. Not to worry only cost a pound and D.O.T were more than worth that. Hopefuly off to watch Lowgold on wednesday, anyone know if they are good. I have heard the first ep and first single, seems quite good to me. Hope the list picks up life, i am off to buy the zepyhrs stargazer ep, which is really good.
