Openjpeg 1.4 changed the way some data was processed and thus it creates bad rendering in some cases
This is described in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43414 This will be fixed with openjpeg 1.5 thanks to http://code.google.com/p/openjpeg/source/detail?r=1333 and http://cgit.freedesktop.org/poppler/poppler/commit/?h=poppler-0.18&id=de6415af1a39ec7dfa4f149c6c5e311b86352cec I am suggesting that you might want to incorporate http://code.google.com/p/openjpeg/source/detail?r=1333 to your openjpeg 1.4 packages (i understand it is quite safe and should apply almost directly) so that together with the next poppler release the issue goes away.
