The short answer is that you can't, you would need to write a small
patch to add the missing api.
Is this something that can be added onto an existing install of poppler,
or would it entail creating an entirely new version of poppler that
would have to be shipped with my application? Regardless, do you have
any pointers about how to go about creating this patch?
