Hi all, I have a web page that generates tons of transparent objects in the print preview PDF. pdftocairo would grab 400% of RAM when trying to convert it to PostScript and die from the hands of OOM killer. Printer itself would just choke on the PDF if I send it directly.
I wonder if there is a command-line way to count the number of transparent objects? This will allow me to catch them in the pipeline and process them differently. Ideally, maybe there is also a way to flatten the PDF somehow, merging those objects? I couldn't find anything in the poppler utils docs, hoping someone has any suggestions. Thanks. -- Alex
