Ahoy Pythoneers!

Thanks to all who were able to attend the meeting last week. Adam Lowry did the
final Module of the Month with traceback
(https://github.com/robotadam/traceback-examples), Chris Pitzer demoed his JS
widgets Django project (https://github.com/chrispitzer/django-jswidgets), and
Peter Banka gave an introduction to Heroku (http://www.heroku.com). Another big
thanks to our speakers, and of course to Urban Airship for hosting us.

We've also fortunately been able to reschedule the two talks that were missed
due to speaker illness! Eric Holscher will give his Tastypie + Slumber intro at
the next meeting, on February 14th, and Chris McDonald will be back on April
10th to share what he knows about PubSub using Redis. Also on the schedule for
the next meeting is a talk by Brett Carter entitled, "Stupid Programming
Tricks." If you have something you'd like to share at an upcoming meeting, let
me know!

A quick reminder - PyCon is coming up in less than 2 months and quite a few PDX
Python peeps are planning to go. We've also got a few speakers representing for
PDX (holla!). Registration is open, and the early bird rate is in effect until
January 25th, so there's still time to butter your boss up. Registration info
is online at: https://us.pycon.org/2012/registration. Check out the talk
schedule at: https://us.pycon.org/2012/schedule.

See you next month,
Michelle

P.S. Find us on IRC on the Freenode network in #pdxpython, if you haven't
already. :)
