Hi All,
I am currently living in Central California but seriously considering
moving to Portland or vicinity sometime in the spring or summer. (We're up
here now scoping out the situation.) I am a recently (last June) retired
physics & math teacher (HS and Jr College). I was fluent in Borland Pascal
and did some big projects (mostly free lance astronomy software) back in
the DOS era, but need to come up to speed in something more current. I
played around with Perl and have settled on Python as my reentry vehicle.
I am looking forward to interacting with other Phthon programmers. The CA
Central Valley is a wasteland in that respect. I would like to hear more
about this group and some of the people in it.
